A new 1937 Chevrolet coupe cost $750. Money has not always been a government/bank  monopoly mismanaged at public expense. Privately issued competition will dismay government but could be a great help for consumers, especially if pegged to gold or some base not easily manipulated by greedy governments. Even pegged to the dollar it could benefit the public if it provided competition for banks. But governments/bankers will kill to prevent or at least control it.
