EDITORIAL:

If their unions and politicians have done so much for them, why can’t the wives of carpenters, plumbers and electricians stay home to raise children anymore? Why do their children have to graduate from costly colleges to earn a living comparable to their parents’ earnings after high school?  Could the welfare state be helping the very rich and the very poor at the expense of the very many?
