GLEANINGS FROM THE PASSING SCENE … (Politically Uncorrected)

Alfred_E__NeumannDroppings from the week that was …

Russia’s President Putin warned Israel against selling weapons to Ukraine.  (But Russia can sell weapons to Iran, never mind.)

We are told that the Fed: Will (or won’t) be raising interest rates back to ‘normal’ but returning to enigmatic status as to its future plans. Yeah … Congressfolk wary of 2016 elections are calling Fed Chair Janet daily to plead for no action on rates, we bet. (When rates rise, a lot less money will be left for social and military spending.) And the strengthening dollar (read: Weakening Euro) provides an excuse. Has Mother Janet been drinking testosterone? We will see … (as our wealth dissolves).

Children: A Second wave of unaccompanied illegals is crossing our border. They will be competing for jobs at lower wages than you are used to earning while your money is caring for them. Now that is true charity!

Immigration   To facilitate the often treacherous process of entering the United States illegally through the southern border, the Obama administration is offering free transportation from three Central American countries and a special refugee/parole program with “resettlement assistance” and permanent residency. We note that so far, 75% of ‘immigrants’ are on Food Stamps, 50% receive medical help. The State Department intends to fly Central American kids into the US, free. Well, free to them, not to taxpayers. Pretty soon, Americans will be offered only those jobs that illegals won’t do.

Sen. Menendez’ (D) corruption indictment may reduce Dems’ opposition to the Iran nuke deal. (Menendez was a critic). That’s paranoid: Melendez was the only crook in Congress, right?

The California Drought was man-made. And while worrying about what to do about it, Legislators propose expanding benefits to wetbacks. That might seem odd from any but politicians …

The FCC’s new Internet rules are said to open the door to new Internet fees. Duh!

Encryption vs privacy is said to be the new government dilemma. For the rulers to know everything they wish to know, we cannot be allowed encryption that the NSA can’t break. Hmnn … We suspect that we can predict how this will turn out …

Obama Style: A Former ambassador to Israel blasted the White House mockery of Netanyahu on Twitter. Can anyone recall public derision of other country’s leaders from any past presidents?

We hear that Silicon Valley won’t hire a known Republican. We recall when that sort of thing applied to Jews and Catholics. We guess that Republicans are the new Jews? Wait … wasn’t that sort of thing supposed to be out of style?

Two Maryland kids, 6 and 10 years old, have been picked up by police again and turned over to Child Protection Services for the ‘crime’ of being allowed to walk home from the park without an accompanying parent, over a distance of about a mile. The parents are being charged for ‘abuse’ and have now lost the kids. About half of such kids used to walk or bike to school, a few decades back. Wasn’t a big deal, either.Times sure change!

A lot of California delta water is mysteriously missing while the state’s veggies keep on coming from the delta farmers during the drought there. Hmnn … Noting that the state supplies nearly half the national production of some veggies (big bucks, right?) we suspect that we can guess where to look … and we further guess that any looking won’t get into the news. (Even the Left has to eat.)

The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) organized demos/’strikes’ at fast food outlets around the country to push its demand for a $15 hr. minimum wage again. While this mostly flopped again, we suppose that the real goal is pushing Congress to increase the Federal minimum. Econ 101 isn’t taught in public high schools …

Bankruptcy is taking off again in the first quarter of 2015.

A road rage incident ended when a Toddler  was shot in the head.

A Man high on Flakka: Said he is God, had sex with a tree and attacked an officer. Must have been some really good s—t! (Of course, the tree was probably naked in public …)

And so sneaks off another wasted week. (We can’t blame it.)

About Jack Curtis
