A Small, Simple Question About Obamacare …

ObamaCareBefore Obamacare, the U.S. government functioned on massive spending deficits, a result of social welfare and military programs that exceeded available resources. All these continue unabated, plus the addition of Obamacare, that added some 20 to 40 million (depending upon whom you believe) previously uninsured beneficiaries, funded by those of us who have health insurance and Medicare and even by some who have had no coverage, though the latter  pay less.

To our jaundiced eye however, the visible tax increases and insurance premiums seem too small to provide the specified services to the proclaimed numbers of people. Various experts seem to share that view, including some government budget folks.

We have a question: What sort of government, already in deep debt and deficits, adds extraordinarily costly new programs during a time of high unemployment and declining living standards? If, in other words, we were not paying for what we had before, how will this massive addition be financed? If there is an untapped pot of money somewhere, should it not have been first applied to the deficits in Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and our planetary military adventures? And if no such pot exists, from where will come the funds to finance Obamacare? And most of all, we wonder how folk will receive that answer, when it finally arrives …

Where to start. First, outside medicare there are more uninsured now then before Obamacare. Note the insurance companies are reporting a 30 percent failure rate in payments.
One of the things being glossed over that has MAJOR impact is the deductible. Traditionally we paid an amount then the insurance covered everything else. This has changed, now after the 6,000 deductible you are still responsible for a percent of the bill. Example: heart bypass 200,000. Deductible 6,000 bronze plane 30 percent so you owe an additional 60,0000 for that one procedure. What middle or lower class person already giving everything to the insurance company can pay that?

Another question: How many previously insured and totally uninsured are
      now on Medicaid?
The programs seems unsustainable financially; perhaps it exists only as
a vehicle to ease the country off insurance, onto a single payer
system? It seems obvious that neither political party wishes to repeal
      it …

And where are the 5 million illegals going? Medicaid probably, they will get 15$ an hour from McDonalds and welfare from the state, perfect democrat base, and perfect storm to bring us to third world status.

I suppose that the intent is a two class society world wide, in which
the ‘rich world’ living standard declines to match a rising ‘developing
world’ somewhere in the middle. It of course, will not do that.

As bussing minority students to better white schools diminished the
quality of the white schools rather than raising the educations
provided the minority kids, removing the middle class in the rish world
will simply render everyone poor, as is the historical model …or so
        it seemss to me!

Obama then decided he had to level the field, re-distribute the wealth (haha) and make us all “even-Steven” by taking freedom of choosing and paying for our own (better care/doctors) insurance…the jerk decided we ALL had to have the same crappy, over-priced plans. That’s like bulldozing the whole house, just to fix a leaky faucet…
What a guy…and, if you are in calif and you aren’t supposed to be, that’s okay…Gov Moonbeam and the rest of his ilk want to extend driver’s licenses and are also creating special lower-than-low liability coverages..so they can get to work and take their kids to school….UNdocumented workers are NOT allowed to work here, and the employers who hire them are risking severe penalties/fines/possible prison terms if they hire anyone who does not have permission (visas) to work or live in U.S. …. none of it makes any sense, at any angle…it is appalling that our military vets are neglected, and taxpayers are abused…the rightful citizens have been relegated to the bottom of the heap…so this girl is really desperately ‘hoping for a change’ before the revolt starts.
