Political Compassion…

Whose Money Are They Giving Away?

Whose Money Are They Giving Away?

President Obama’s compassion goes out to those 40 million Americans who survive with food stamps (now called: SNAP) and the millions out of work somehow during this ‘recovery’ and especially, to those whose unemployment benefits have run out or who are forced to work at entry-level jobs for minimum wages. And of course, he appreciates their votes, too. When he’s not on one of his costly vacations, at least.

The Republican Speaker of the House of Representatives is compassionate, too and he especially appreciates the 12 or 13 millions who have swum the Rio Grande because a menial job in the U.S. beats the opportunities in the socialistic pest-holes from which they flee.

And so the President wishes to extend unemployment benefits, raise the minimum wage and reduce ‘income inequality’ while Speaker Boehner wants to bless the wetbacks with citizenship, while leaving the door open for the next batch. It warms the heart to see such compassion flowering among politicians..

However. The folk who will have to pay for all of this are too often, underemployed or out of work Americans as well as those with jobs. Jobs for now, anyway. And President Obama, courtesy of Speaker Boehner, is already spending billions of dollars more than the available income, even without these compassionate expenditures. So two questions arise: One, where will they find the money to fund this compassion? We haven’t heard that. And two: How about a little compassion for the stressed and financially strapped taxpayers who have to pay for it all? Our living standard has been declining for years already.

And we’ll end with a third question: How “compassionate” is it anyway, when the money you’re so generously handing out to your choice of recipients belongs to others who also need it?

You’re just being a greedy capitalist pig now Jack and we’ll have to find a nice wall for you to stand up against while we loot the house. Some of us are after all more equal. Were you invited to THE PARTY?

    • Jack Curtis says:

I’m sure that I must have an invitation here somewhere; just can’t lay my hands on it right now for some reason… You’re way late on the looting, the government cleaned me out years ago!
