The ‘Knockout’ Game Hits The News (Finally)

Knockout GameYou’re on the sidewalk; a little group of young, black males lets you by or overtakes you… and one of them unexpectedly punches your head as hard as he can, hoping to knock you unconscious with one blow. Oh, by the way, you’re white. That’s the ‘Knockout Game’ now gaining attention on the news, mostly at the urging of Fox News.

Big, new deal, right? No, it’s been occurring in American cities for some years now, though with the extra publicity, the scale is increasing and other races are getting involved. The major newsfolk have mostly ignored it because it’s mostly black attacking white and that, by their rules, can’t be news. People have been hospitalized by such attacks, even killed. Victims include females and the elderly.

No one is approving these young thugs or what they are doing, at least, not yet. We’re not hearing how it’s not their fault, it’s your fault as is so often offered to excuse the untoward result of Leftish social policies. And reports are now popping up in various newspapers, though the racial element tends to be downplayed or overlooked. A Google search: “Knockout Game New York Times” turned up no stories from that newspaper on the first page of results. A New York State lawmaker however, is introducing a new bill to deal with the game.

But legislative targeting isn’t the answer to this sort of gratuitous, racial violence. These are the actions of young people, reflecting their upbringing and their values and beliefs. These are exhibit “A” in the real life trial of decades of Leftist social policy on racism. Just as our Federal government insists upon curing its overspending by ‘stimulus’ which consists of overspending, it has ‘cured’ white on black racism by generating and encouraging black on white racism. All of this of course, obscured with double talk.

It’s notable here that only Fox’s Bill O’Reilly has pointed to the underlying pattern of the social breakdown of black families and black religion. The Left doesn’t want to hear about families and religion these days, it is too busy deconstructing both.

In “A Man For All Seasons” Thomas More speaks the lines:

This country is planted thick with laws from coast to coast, Man’s laws, not God’s, and if you cut them down – and you’re just the man to do it – do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then?

Mans’ laws in the United States flow from God through the people, to the Constitution, which is why the Left wishes to remove the reality of the Declaration of Independence that makes these relationships explicit. As More says, removing such social bedrock lets in the winds; it is those that we are seeing now on the streets from the new generations that have not received a historically American upbringing. They have instead, been implanted with Leftist social cant in its place and we are now seeing the results. We have allowed our leaders to sow the wind, the whirlwind we are just beginning to notice is our harvest.

Shocking, certainly but perhaps less shocking than the unshocked popular attitude it encounters. Then, burning people’s cars shocks a bit, too. As these progress, if they continue, we may have to redefine ‘civilization,’ seems to me…..
