U.S. Military Needs ‘International Permission?’

Shouldn't the Flag Behind Secretary Panetta be the U.N. Flag?

The Presidents’ concern for the Constitution is getting some attention from non-major media sources; it’s not newsworth enough for the MSM big boys, apparently. Defense Sectretary Panetta recently clarified any doubts in public: Panetta: ‘International Permision’ Trumps Congress’ Permission for Military Actions tells the story.

This resolves earlier questions about the Prez’ evident lack of concern getting Congressional action authorizing his war-making, right? We know the Constitution reserves that action to Congress and we’ve noticed Obama ignoring that little trivia. Of course, he’s not the first by any measure. And Congress seems to be happy in its ignorance…no peep from there!

But is there not a price looming to be paid–by the citizens, not the government–when the entire government moves de facto away from the constitution that legitimizes it?

“All that is needed for evil to prevail, is for good men to do nothing” somehow comes to mind…
