The Poet Said: “Each Man Kills the Thing He Loves”…and PETA Must Believe It!

Latest PETA Rescue?

See, there was the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) that had been rescung ill-treated livestock for generations. (Still does.) But the fokls behind People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) sneered at that; they wanted to use political power to compel their program.

They started with a publicity campaign to compel people to put their dogs, cats and horses into wearing pants to cover their naked genitalia; that got attention. Today, they are the four footed version of the ACLU, suing to force their views onto animal owners and users. And still competing with old SPCA, they “rescue” a lot of animals. Sort of…Documents: PETA Kills More Than 95% of Animals in Its Care reports the nature of that “rescue.”

It’s simple: once “rescued” the beasites are killed, or at least, the overwhelming majority are. Well, they’re not suffering any more, anyway… Pet lovers may have a different definition for “rescue,” but Hell, once they’ve served their purpose supplying new publicity for PETA, they just represent a cost, right? And the money must be saved for its real purpose: publicity and lobbying. Simple enough, isnt’t it?

PETA somehow makes me think of the folk running our country these days…perhaps I’m too cynical.
