Courageous Chinese Women Going Where the Men Go…

Li Tingting and 20 activist girlfriends are courageously defying the Chinese government with ‘occupy’-modeled public protests in metropolitan Guangzhou. Li aims for heroine status and will, if not wiped out, likely be enthroned at least. China’s ‘Occupy’ Toilet Protests Spread will provide details you need to read so that this brave challenge isn’t papered over by relentless State propaganda pooh-poohing it.

On second thought, it’s a brave thing to take on the Asian monolith like that, whatever change you might want it to make. Safety for protesters, if any, probably lies in the marital status of the Chinese leadership; most are men with wives…men who might not want to go home and announce they’re opposed to the project. And anyway, it’s no big thing to drill a few more holes in the floor, is it?

We have to wish such honorable bravery success and say: You go, girl…knowing that even in China, when you gotta go…
