EPA’s Top Finance Guru Lost the $1.2 B at MF Global

MF Global Resume

We know that the Untied Nations often anoints a thuggish dictator to chair its commission on Human Rights, that’s par for international political management, after all. But aside from that, few hospitals appoint defrocked doctors to run their medical operations and no corporations hire convicted bank robbers to run their security. But we well know that government is different.

M.F. Global Chief Who Lost $1.2 B Is EPA’s Top Environmental Advisor shows exactly how different. The Environmental Protection Agency of our Federal masters evidently decided that the ability to oversee a mysterious disappearance of $1.2 B without noticing where it went was exactly the qualitications needed to advise the EPA how to conduct its finances. That does fit; it’s a fair approximation of how the Agency conducts the science it relies upon to justify shutting down forms of gainful employment in favor of various guppies, lizards, salamanders, toads and obscure weeds.

If the M.F. Global connection being outed puts this financial expert back on the job market, the disappearance of billions might qualify him for the Senate…

About Jack Curtis

Suspicious of government, doubtful of economics, fond of figure skating (but the off-ice part, not so much)
